Arriving at NGV Garden Restaurant this summer, is one of Australia’s most acclaimed chefs, serving up a feast inspired by the Yayoi Kusama exhibition.
After a decade as chef-owner of the internationally acclaimed Sepia, Martin Benn returns with a set menu that combines seasonal Australian produce with Asian-inspired flavours, showcasing his innovative approach and connection to Japanese cuisine.
Open for lunch daily and dinner on Friday, the collaboration offers diners a bespoke menu that celebrates the traditions of Japanese cuisine and the art of Yayoi Kusama, particularly in the desserts.
The Garden Restaurant offers a 7-day-a-week luncheon menu featuring 2-course and 3-course set options, priced at $84 and $96 respectively. Additionally, an à la carte menu is available during lunch. On Friday nights, the restaurant is open for dinner. It offers a unique 5-course menu priced at $165, which includes a ticket to the Yayoi Kusama exhibition.
