As you enter through the Waterwall entrance on St. Kilda Road, the French Impressionism exhibition is on the left-hand side or south end of the building.
The walls and ceiling of the Gallery Kitchen are painted in a light ‘duck egg’ blue colour.
The Gallery Kitchen is often busy and can be loud, with people eating and talking. You are welcome to purchase food and drinks here and sit and relax, or take them into the NGV Garden or Great Hall for a quieter space.
A security team member will scan your ticket at the entry to the French Impressionism exhibition. The scanners have a light and make a beeping sound when scanning.
The entrance corridor is styled with columns, grey walls and printed flooring. Ornate lights hang from the ceiling. There are statues on display on your left-hand side. A soundtrack of classical music plays.
